Spring

we have had some difficulties with our Internet so it has been a little while.

We went up to SLC for Easter. Jorryn was bummed she didn't see the Easter bunny hopping away on Sunday morning. She thought for sure he would be upstairs when she woke up. She go some way awesome princess shoes that have been worn since then. Evelynn just tried to eat everything.

As a Christmas treat, we went with my family and saw Wicked! it was totally awesome. I am glad no one had spilled the story line to me before we went because it was totally spell binding!

My girls and Johnny all go ear infections this week. I have so far remained the somewhat healthy nursemaid for everyone in my house. I have been getting wicked headaches since I had Evelynn. I think it is dehydration (I can't hardly keep up with her). If anyone has any re-hydration remedies or headache solutions let me know. i have taken advantage of the Gatorade sales at Albertsons and that helps some days.

Saturday we went to the Dixie Kite Festival. We had fun dancing and flying kites. We payed to let jorryn jump in the bounce houses and she loved it. Her and her dad found a bug in the grass and she jumped on his head faster then I have ever seen her move. What fun it is to have a family!

Roll over

Evelynn did it! She rolled over for the first time today. She did it twice and surprised herself and the rest of us. Good Job Sunshine!

Shower

We are throwing a wedding shower for Amber Vernon next Saturday 6-8 pm. The invitations are on their way but spread the word. Hopefully we can still see everyone there.

coupons

This week I have decided to be a coupon shopper. We signed up for the paper, clipped our coupons, and made our KILLER DEALS list. Every where I went they were out of stock. I am totally bummed. I have decided that coupon shopping is really a sport. It may be included in the Olympics some day. It takes strategy, aggressiveness, and skill to rise above the rest and get the 400.00 dollars worth of items for 10.99. I guess like any good athlete if I want to stay in the game I need to find a good coach. So, don't be surprised if I ask for some pointers from some of my Coupon Queen friends and family.

This week Evelynn has learned to suck her fingers for comfort and how to laugh when things are funny.

What a blessing!

We Blessed Evelynn in church on Sunday and it was wonderful. Almost all of my Vernon side of the family came down. We had all the Grand baby Greats together and forgot to take a group shot of them. We had many other cute pictures.

Johnny has been very busy with Grad School and all the other things he does. We decided to get rid of our TV service so that we would spend the time we do have together as a family more wisely. Plus, it is next to impossible to watch a show and understand anything wen you have a two year old awake. We are loving the extra time and extra cash for savings.

We disconnected our home phone and are just using our cells now. if you don't have my cell number our home phone will forward for a week or so.

In January we went up for family pictures in SLC. Here are a few of my favorite.

a couple of princesses

Last week we went with Rachel and Rylie to a duck pond. The girls had so much fun exploring along the way. Every stick, rock, or leaf required a thorough examination. What a blessing it is to be a other of a small child. We miss so many wonders of this world when we get big and busy. It is nice to slow down and look every once in a while. Who needs TV when there is a wet stick on the side walk!

I am that kind of mother! You know, the kind who lets her child walk around with things stuck in her ears. Actually, this was funny enough I grabbed the camera and took a picture before I told he not to do it. She said, "I was just holding them there so I could get you one." Oh how silly!

Here are my beautiful Princess Pie and Princess Pea. We played princess at our Super Bowl party this year. I think Johnny was the only one who knew it was about football not crowns and bubble baths.
