Baby blessing

We are going to Bless Evelynn in our ward on Sunday March 1, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. anyone who wants is welcome to come. It is usually even warm enough for a good camping trip by March.

Wow, I haven't done this for two weeks. And in that time we have had plenty of fun to share. Jorryn got her first real hair cut at a salon. she thought it was so neat. She is such a girly girl.

Two weekend ago it was ST. Georges birthday. They had a list of free activities on Saturday and we being the frugal fannies that we are tried out every one of them. They had root beer floats with the singing mayor/ city council at the old social hall. Then we went over to the free admission day at the art museum. Jorryn drew a picture in the kids discovery area. When we told her to find a place to hang it (meaning near all the other children's drawings) she wandered off into the gallery. See pointed to a beautiful oil painting of Zions and said, "That one is my favorite. hang it there." She figured her work was gallery quality. Maybe it will be someday if she can work as hard as Bompa Kelly.

The next free thing was a free trip on the city bus to the free swim day at Sand Hollow Aquatic Center. It was packed but fun.Jon and I took turns swimming with Jorryn. (Evelynn has not had her first swim lesson yet.)
Last weekend we went to Sandy. John was at a Conference in Provo. Jorryn was wary of Toby and didn't like him hanging around her feet. She hollered out to Bompa, "Toy keeps teasing me like my Dad does!"

We went through the Draper Temple open house and it was beautiful.

We had family pictures taken on Saturday. It stared to rain so we didn't get many. I am anxious to see how they tuned out. Amber did it for a Christmas gift for all of us. She did say at our last family pictures she hoped to add an additional element to the next ones. And congratulations to Kyle she added him. We are all so excited for the two of them to be married in June. Now Johnny will have some one to hide in the basement and watch football with when we visit.

What cute sisters

Evelynn is 4 weeks old or in other words 1 month. She sleeps 3-4 hours straight at night! (It's really not that exciting.) Jorryn is so proud of her. She loves to help Evelynn meet everyone. Jorryn is just like her mom. She cleans like her mom , she explains things to people like her mom would, and she tells mom "I will help in just a second," just like her mom does to her. I just love my girl.
