Thanksgiving weekend a gate way into Christmas

We had such a nice time up in Pine Valley for Thanksgiving with the Jim and Lori Olsen Family. Thank you so much for inviting us. The food and the company far out weighed what Golden Corral would have provided. And Bret's Lori makes outstanding Pies!
I have been reading lots of Thanksgiving Pilgrim and Indian books to Jorryn. That must be where she got the idea to do this. I had been leaving my makeup out on the bench at the foot of my bed so it is quick to grab when we have to go to the hospital. Jorryn found some cream eye shadow and used the whole container. It took days to come off. She looked like a little Lamanite child for a while. Every little girl has to do this sometime!

On Friday we put up our Christmas decorations. Jorryn loved all the musical and light up decor. I had to replace all the batteries form last year and am guessing we will go through another round, the way she likes to play them.

We put up our Christmas tree on Saturday morning. It was fun to do as a family. We have had a fun tradition of adding an ornament each year that represents something special from the year. This year we found an ornament of a little girl holding a baby. We are so excited for our Baby to come!

Our Mutual group signed up to perform the Nativity at Tuacchan this year. We got to go and dress up as if we lived in Bethlehem 2000 years ago. It was a lot of fun. It carried a special Christmas spirit. If you are in So. Utah this month, I recommend going. I think it is like 2$ each to watch.

just waiting

Friday I reached the point were having a baby finally felt eminent. My friend who was due three weeks before me had her baby Friday morning and now I am next.
Her family is up north like ours (with the exception of a few wonderful cousins of ours.) So Jorryn got to have her first sleepover with her best friend Ry. We put the mattresses on the floor and the two girls snuggled in (after some time and persuasion.)
I am not planning on being able to function like a normal person during the month of December. So, Johnny and I went on a date Christmas shopping for Jorryn. While we were on our date our wonderful new neighbors with teen girls watched Jorryn. She got to hang out with three 17 year-olds which because of her aunts she already loves to do. They had fun playing dress up with Jorryn and made her a dress out of ribbons and cloth. She watched princess movies with them outside under the stars and had a picnic. She wants us to go on a date all the time now. We sit next to this fun family in church now and for the last three weeks I have heard what the speaker said! I have missed that. Johnny is called to attend the Spanish branch which meets the same time as our ward so it has been just me and Jorryn for a few months now. It is nice to have someone else to help Jorryn be reverent and will be extra nice when the little sis comes.
So, as of last Tuesday my cervix was dilated 1 centimeter. My next appointment is on Thursday. Everyone asks us what we will name her. We still haven't come to a consensus. We like:
Kirsten Lynn
Nicole Lynn
Sadie Lynn (which Amber clams Sadie is ment for her child, I say she will have all boys)
Evelynn
If any one wants to give suggestions or comments we are open. Just please don't ruin any of the names we like by telling us it sounds like a hussies name or something.

Halloween

Here are some pictures form our Halloween.

Jorryn went Trick or treating with her friend Rylie (the cute little witch). One of our neighbors had a spooky tunnel leading to there door with fog and black lights and creepy music. He was dressed in a dark cape with scary gloves. Jorryn thought it was all fun until their fluffy puppy peaked out from around the corner. Then she screamed and said, "Mommy Hold me!"

Jorryn dressed as a giraffe, Johnny was a cowboy, and I was a witch.

We used power tools to carve our pumpkin this year. Our pumpkin is supposed to look like it has an exposed brain.
